User Manual

GateCrashers is a web-based platform at gatecrashers.events that connects event organizers with attendees across the OpenSimulator Hypergrid. It provides:

• •A public event listing directory covering all grids
• •In-world Gate devices that display your venue events on a screen
• •The GateCrashers Event Broadcaster (GEB) — a large display board showing all Hypergrid events
• •A wearable HUD for browsing events from anywhere in-world
• •Calendar integration, iCal export, and Hypergrid teleport links

All times on GateCrashers are displayed in Grid Time (SLT) — Pacific Time (America/Los_Angeles). This is the universal standard for OpenSimulator events across all grids.

• •Gate — An in-world venue device that connects your location to GateCrashers
• •GEB — GateCrashers Event Broadcaster — a large display board showing all events
• •HUD — A wearable heads-up display for browsing events in-world
• •Hop URL — A HyperGrid teleport address (hop://grid:port/Region/x/y/z)
• •SLT — Second Life Time / Pacific Time — the universal virtual world clock

Visit gatecrashers.events and click Sign Up Free to create your account.

2. 2.Click Continue to proceed through account setup
3. 3.If you are a Neverworld Grid resident, enter your avatar name for NWG verification
4. 4.NWG verified residents automatically receive the NWG Free tier at no charge

GateCrashers offers four account tiers:

*NWG Free requires avatar verification with Neverworld Grid

Visit gatecrashers.events and click Log In. Enter your email and password. If you forget your password, use the password reset link on the login page.

• •Venues counter — shows how many Venues you have registered vs your tier limit
• •Events counter — shows how many events you have listed vs your tier limit
• •Tier badge — shows your current subscription tier
• •NWG Verified badge — shown if your avatar is verified

The left column shows all of your registered Venues. Each Venue card shows the venue name, region, online/offline status, and event count. Click any Venue to view its detail page.

The right column shows all of your upcoming events. Each event card shows the title, category, time, and like count. Click Edit to modify an event.

The user menu (click your name in the top right) provides quick access to:

1. 1.From your Dashboard, click + Add Venue
2. 2.Enter your venue name, description, and upload a venue photo
3. 3.Enter your Grid Name (e.g. Neverworld Grid)
4. 4.Enter your Grid URL (e.g. hg.neverworldgrid.com:8002)
5. 5.Enter your Region Name
6. 6.Enter your Hop URL (e.g. hop://hg.neverworldgrid.com:8002/MyRegion/128/128/25)
7. 7.Click Register Venue

Each Venue has a public detail page at gatecrashers.events/venues/your-venue-slug showing venue photo, online/offline status, upcoming events, Hop URL, and bookmark button.

Invite other GateCrashers users to help manage your Venue. They can post events on behalf of your venue.

1. 1.Go to your Venue detail page and click the Collaborators tab
2. 2.Enter the avatar name of the person you want to invite
3. 3.Choose their role: Poster (can post events) or Manager (full access)
4. 4.Click Invite

Pick up the free starter package at NWG Welcome Region or the NW Marketplace. It includes:

• •Gate device (multiple design variants)
• •GateCrashers Event Broadcaster (GEB) board
• •Updater Box
• •This instruction manual

1. 1.Rez the Gate device at your venue — near the entrance works great
2. 2.Touch the Gate to open the menu
3. 3.Select Settings from the menu
4. 4.Select Enter Key from the Settings menu
5. 5.Paste your Gate Key from your GateCrashers dashboard and click Submit
6. 6.The Gate will connect to GateCrashers and display ONLINE

To change: Touch Gate → Settings → Count Mode → Choose Parcel or Proximity → If Proximity, select radius.

1. 1.From your Dashboard, click + Post First Event
2. 2.Upload your event flyer image (required — no blank listings!)
3. 3.Enter the event title and description
4. 4.Select a category (DJ Set, Live Music, Dance, Social, Roleplay, etc.)
5. 5.Select your Venue (or enter location manually)
6. 6.Enter the date and time in SLT (Pacific Time)
7. 7.Click Publish Event

Recurring events automatically calculate the next occurrence and display it across the platform.

1. 1.Check the Recurring Event box when creating your event
2. 2.Select your recurrence pattern: Daily, Weekly, Every 2 Weeks, or Monthly

• •Homepage & GEB Board — Events within the next 14 days
• •Gate device — Events within the next 30 days
• •Venue detail page — Events within the next 90 days
• •Calendar — All recurring occurrences within 90 days

1. 1.Get your Public GEB Key from gatecrashers.events/how-it-works
2. 2.Rez your GEB board in-world
3. 3.Touch the board → Settings → Enter Key
4. 4.Paste your Public GEB Key and click Submit

Advanced tier subscribers generate a private GEB Key that displays their grid events at the TOP of the board, followed by all global events below with a divider line.

1. 1.Log into your dashboard and click My GEB Keys
2. 2.Click Generate New GEB Key
3. 3.Enter your Grid Name and Grid URL
4. 4.Copy your new private key and enter it into your GEB board

• •Two-column landscape layout showing 10 events per page
• •Category color coding: Magenta=DJ Set, Green=Live Music, Cyan=Dance, Gold=Social
• •Featured events marked with * and shown first
• •In Advanced mode, grid events shown in Light Cyan with a separator line

1. 1.Find the GateCrashers HUD in your inventory
2. 2.Right-click it and select Wear or Add
3. 3.The HUD will appear on your screen and automatically load upcoming events

• •Click the GateCrashers logo prim to toggle the HUD open or closed
• •Click the Events panel to flip through event pages
• •Click the Control panel to open the control menu
• •Click the Account panel to open your GateCrashers dashboard in your browser

• •Next Page — Go to the next page of events
• •All Events / DJ Set / Live Music / Dance / Social — Filter by category
• •Teleport — Select an event to teleport to directly
• •Refresh — Reload the event list

To update your HUD, pick up the new HUD from the latest starter package at NWG Welcome Region and wear the new version.

• •Gate owners on grids OTHER than Neverworld Grid — NWG Gates update automatically
• •HUD owners — HUDs cannot be updated remotely while worn

1. 1.Pick up the Updater Box from the latest starter package at NWG Welcome Region
2. 2.Rez the Updater Box within 30 meters of your Gate device
3. 3.Touch the Updater Box
4. 4.It will scan for nearby GateCrashers devices you own
5. 5.A dialog will show found devices — click Update All to proceed
6. 6.The Updater Box will deliver new scripts and then delete itself

The homepage shows upcoming events within the next 14 days. Featured events appear first. The Hottest Right Now sidebar shows venues with the most live avatars right now.

Browse all registered venues at gatecrashers.events/venues. Each venue page shows upcoming events, a Hop URL, and a bookmark button.

The calendar at gatecrashers.events/calendar shows all events in Daily, Weekly, or Monthly view. All times are in Grid Time (SLT).

Click the heart button on any event detail page to like it. You must be logged in. Each user can like each event once. Like counts are shown on event cards and detail pages.

Click the Bookmark Venue button on any venue page to save it. View all bookmarks at gatecrashers.events/dashboard/bookmarks. Your bookmarks page shows each saved venue with its current online status and a Copy Hop URL button.

2. 2.Upload your ad image (recommended: 800x450px, max 5MB)
3. 3.Enter your ad title, tagline, and destination URL
4. 4.Select your duration and complete payment via PayPal

2. 2.Choose Basic ($5/month) or Advanced ($10/month)
3. 3.Click Subscribe — you must be logged in
4. 4.Complete payment via PayPal
5. 5.Your tier upgrades immediately after payment

Cancel at any time through your PayPal account. Access continues until end of the current billing period.

Neverworld Grid residents get the NWG Free tier at no charge. Register and enter your NWG avatar name during signup — verification is automatic.

2. 2.In Google Calendar: + Other Calendars > From URL
3. 3.Paste the URL and click Add Calendar — events update automatically

Go to gatecrashers.events/dashboard/profile to update your display name, upload a profile photo, and view your NWG verification status and current tier.

Go to gatecrashers.events/dashboard/settings. Enter your current password, then your new password (minimum 8 characters), and confirm.

• •Usage data — page views and clicks for analytics
• •Gate device data — avatar counts and heartbeat timestamps (no personal visitor data)

• •We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• •We do not serve third-party advertising
• •Gate devices do not collect personally identifiable information about region visitors
